The monster within

Fighting the demon inside her!
Enjoying the pleasure of pain!
Just a cut in her arm and she's happy again
What kind of sadistic joy is this? I wonder !

Depression is a war, a battle with yourself!
Comes in a fancy package with insomnia as bonus !
Pills to sleep, pills to stay up, pills to smile, pills to be human !
Depression is a thief a scavenger of its kind
Eating you up from the inside in your sane mind!

No I'm not sad, I don't hate people, I am not a weirdo, I'm not a creep
Don't ask me what's wrong, cuz trust me I don't know !
I want friends but I hate socialising
I want to be warm but I seem stone cold

Dwelling in memories, crying over a lost love!
Wanting someone around only to steal the attention !
Don't call this depression cuz all this has emotions and feelings!
While depression is a murder killing the true self

Sometimes I feel it's time to give up
Sometimes I feel I'm gonna die a lonely hag
Sometimes I know all that I feel is crap
Shake it off my shoulder and put the beast mode on

I stand alone confidently walking the path fighting depression
Mastering the art I take a vow
That one life I have to spread the smile and I will do it with no regret
